weekend reminder 10-13th August 2007

Friday 10th August:
departure Ha Noi train station 22.00 heading to Lao Cai, Chinese border
dinner on board (menù: honey caramelised pork and gin tonic)
sleep in a 4 berths compartment

Saturday 11th August:
check in at Victoria Sa Pa Hotel
with guide Mr Thung
visited market with minorities (Black Hmong; Red Zao; Flower Hmong)
went to Cat Cat village - stunning paddy fields
afternoon relax in Sa Pa
dinner in Luu Ly Restaurant (menù: grilled deer meat and rolls no fried)

Sunday 12th August:
trek down to Lao Chai and Ta Van villages (4hrs)
lunch at luu ly rest.
with motorbikes went to Tram Ton pass, cloudy, highest point of Vietnam
back to Hotel
went to Lao Cai and boarded train Victoria Express
dinner

Monday 13th August:
arrival Ha Noi 5.30
